Randy grew up in Hilmar, CA, surrounded by a strong and supportive dairy community. This community shaped his love and passion for the dairy industry. He pursued his passion at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, majoring in Dairy Science and minoring in Agriculture Business. During his time at Cal Poly, Randy actively participated in various teams and clubs, including the Dairy Judging Team, Dairy Challenge Team, and Los Lecheros Dairy Club. He gained practical experience through multiple internships in dairy management, genetics, programming, and nutrition. Randy’s passion for nutrition consulting began during his internship at Alpha Dairy Consulting in the summer of 2016. After his internship, he worked for a large grain mill as their Seed Division Manager and Bulk Commodity Consultant. In 2018, Randy received his Masters of Business Administration with an emphasis in Management from American Intercontinental University. He continued his education at the University of California, Davis, where he obtained his Masters of Science in Animal Biology, focusing on Ruminant Nutrition in 2020. During his time at UC Davis, he conducted research on the impact of alternative distillers grains products in lactating dairy cattle diets and their effects on production and herd economics. Randy’s favorite part of nutrition consulting is using his past experiences and education to facilitate evidence-based decision-making on farm. He strives to promote healthier and more profitable dairy operations. Randy currently resides in Turlock, CA with his wife Allison and their kids Sophie and Noah. In his spare time, Randy enjoys spending time with loved ones, traveling, golf, appreciating good wine, volunteering at church, and deepening his relationship with the Lord.
