Randy grew up in Hilmar, CA surrounded by a strong and supportive dairy community. His community shaped his love and passion for the dairy industry and he further took that passion to California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo where he majored in Dairy Science and minored in Agriculture Business. While at Cal Poly, Randy was active in numerous teams and clubs like the Dairy Judging Team, Dairy Challenge Team, and Los Lecheros Dairy Club. During his undergraduate career Randy had multiple internships in dairy management, genetics, programing, and nutrition. Randy’s passion for nutrition consulting began while interning for Alpha Dairy Consulting the summer of 2016. After interning with Alpha Dairy Consulting he worked for Associated Feed & Supply as the Seed Division Manager and Bulk Commodity Consultant. While working for Associated Feed & Supply he received his Masters of Business Administration with an emphasis in Management from American Intercontinental University in 2018. Randy then went on to continue his education at the University of California, Davis where he received his Masters of Science in Animal Biology, focused in Ruminant Nutrition in 2020. Randy’s favorite part of about nutrition consulting is being about to use his past experiences and education to facilitate evidence-based decision making on farm to promote healthier and more profitable dairy operations. In Randy’s spare time he enjoys spending time with his love ones, traveling, working out, good wine, volunteering at church, and growing his relationship with God.
