Mike grew up in Tulare, CA surrounded by family and friends deeply embedded in the agriculture industry. From a young age, he was exposed to many facets of agriculture such as beef ranching, agronomy, plant sciences, and dairy. After graduating with a B.S. in Biology he decided to hone his focus in the animal health industry by working with Phibro Animal Health promoting feed additives that benefited high producing dairy cows. Mike worked hand in hand with local dairymen and nutritionists which peaked his desire to pursue a graduate degree in Ruminant Nutrition from California State University, Fresno. He focused his graduate studies on transition cow health with an emphasis in calcium metabolism and DCAD balancing. Since graduating, he has worked in the dairy industry as a nutrition and management consultant helping dairies maximize herd health, efficiency, and profits.
Mike currently resides in Southern Idaho with his wife Allison and their three boys Lawson, Anson, and Benson. When not working, Mike enjoys hunting, fishing, and spending quality time with his family exploring the great outdoors.
