What to expect
Perhaps the most over-looked area of opportunity on most dairy facilities
The devil's in the details. Hay and silage quality and quantity account for much of the variation in performance and profitability of most dairy farms. We are passionate about managing your resources to drive profitability.
We will routinely analyze the chemical composition and moisture content of your forages to manage variation. We will also help plan and manage your inventories to encourage efficient use of your resources.
The decisions you make are only as good as the information you use to guide you
There is a plethora of data generated on most farms today. As technologies advance, the farm’s ability generate and capture data will only improve.
We can analyze, organize and interpret your data efficiently through our approach.
We provide weekly and monthly benchmark reports that will assist you in making educated decisions on farm. We are well versed in the data management programs used on farm today. When necessary we will also facilitate 3rd party audits of that data.
If you are not moving forward, you are falling backward
The idea that we can do what we have always done and exist in this dairy industry tomorrow is a myth.
We want your business to progress. We will facilitate business planning and goal setting.
We will pursue your progress with a “what’s next” mentality. From genomics and robots to diversified farming, we will assist you in making educated long term directional decisions.
Each dairy is only as successful as the caliber of its team
We have a saying, “there are 4 types of diets. The diet we formulate, the diet the feeder prepares, the diet the 1st cow eats and the diet the last cow eats.”
We are aware that people make up our farm’s teams and it is our goal to promote growth while managing the team relationships with grace and humility. Using the data we collect and the observations we make, we will guide the team. We will also generate performance summaries and facilitate management meetings to address pertinent issues.
Most farms are also influenced by other “outside” team members or services, i.e. vets, breeders, feed suppliers, etc, which play a role in our farm’s success. Our goal is to manage those relationships to encourage the success of our farms.
